We respect your privacy. We don’t actively collect anything about you whatsoever. You have to e-mail us before we know anything about you. We do nothing that can identify you personally, or identify your machine.
We do not try to download any form of software to your machine.
While we do not own or control the machines that host this site. This should not concern you. A host can only log the name of your browser, browser version, screen size, your IP address, which pages you have visited and when. This stuff shouldn’t worry you.
The host does make the logs available to us and we use them for for statistically tracking the number of visitors, detecting errors, improving the site, and making it more responsive to search queries.
The logs are less informative than is suggested by the previous two paragraphs. Most requests are served by caches on your machine, your local ISP, the host’s servers. This makes it very difficult to track patterns of usage by visitors. Month over month trends are more obvious.
This site does use scripts in conjunction with selecting which ads to display and getting the current weather.
This site may use cookies, or rather some of the advertisers (if we ever have any) may use cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is written to, and read from your computer. By itself a cookie cannot harm you or your computer. Advertisers use cookies to track visitors to this and other sites and watch your pattern of Internet usage.
